Of course cathouses aren't available for outdoor felines, but there are numerous items you can purchase which your cats will adore. Although you might think they would prefer curling up in a corner or on the sofa, there is nothing so well-appreciated by cats like cat baskets. They give them a place which is fairly well sheltered and warm, too. Now that's a combination most cats just cannot resist.
My three cats used to love sleeping on my quilt and on my sofas. While this is pleasant enough for them, it is anything but pleasant for you. For starters, there are icky hairballs. Venturing into cyberspace will open up larger cat beds which can sleep several cats and kittens. A large one has worked-well for my three as they can sleep snugly together and stay warm in the cold, winter months.
