Cat baskets

It's a dog's life. You see, they have their own doghouses and specially-designed beds and pillows. However, cats usually get a raw deal. It is easy to overlook the fact that pussycats could benefit from a place to sleep and unwind when they are indoors.

Of course cathouses aren't available for outdoor felines, but there are numerous items you can purchase which your cats will adore. Although you might think they would prefer curling up in a corner or on the sofa, there is nothing so well-appreciated by cats like cat baskets. They give them a place which is fairly well sheltered and warm, too. Now that's a combination most cats just cannot resist.

My three cats used to love sleeping on my quilt and on my sofas. While this is pleasant enough for them, it is anything but pleasant for you. For starters, there are icky hairballs. Cats are often seen as being discrete, but I can vouch for the fact that they just aren't when it comes to a stubborn hairball or vomiting. Yes, all over a nice clean quilt.

By introducing cat baskets to my house, it limits my sleeping area becoming covered in their mess. While it isn't perfect, I would rather clean up a mess on the floor or in their cat baskets any day. The fantastic thing about having your cats sleep in cat baskets, rather than on your bed has to be the prevention of their hair covering your sleeping area.

While your comforters, quilts or anything else cats mess on often requires costly dry cleaning, cat baskets are perfect for easy clean up. Many come with cushion-inserts. As soon as you spot the mess, simply use your washing machine to clean it. Of course, don't wash it too frequently. Cats prefer smelling their scent on their sleeping areas.

Cat baskets can be purchased from any store you would normally buy your pet food, cat litter or toys. Cat baskets are much cheaper than dog beds and come in a range of colors and are priced to suit any budget.

Venturing into cyberspace will open up larger cat beds which can sleep several cats and kittens. A large one has worked-well for my three as they can sleep snugly together and stay warm in the cold, winter months.

If you are house proud, you will be able to purchase cat baskets that match with your home's style. Alternatively, you could always create your own cushion covers to give cat baskets that personal design touch.
